A weekend of no sleep and no time for anything but work. After today I should be able to get some time in for doing drawing wish me luck.

I am Justin Mapes an Illustrator and Animator residing in Beijing China. Constantly working to develop new methods and techniques to exercise my imagination.


Current Mission:

#4 1000 30 sec gesture drawing done with wacom table in photoshop. Post top five gestures when completed.

#3 100 Pages 5 to a page 1 minute figure drawings grease pencil.


Ongoing Mission:

Post top five sketchbook sketches every Thursday from life.

Completed Missions:

#1 100 pages of 30 second figure drawings with 10 figures per page.

#2 Make 3 gray scale paintings based on drawings from mission #1

I am back on track now had a big move to the other side of Beijing kind of put everything on hold for a while. No internet at home until tomorrow as well. The new place is nice and will make it easy for me to get some more time in on my artwork. Thanks for asking! Hope things are going well for you as well.
