Out In the Field this week working on a film with a ton of horses on it. Managed to get some drawing of the horses in when it is not windy out on the desert plain it is being filmed on. Even though I have been away for a week I did manage to get up a new painting the day before leaving. Looking forward to coming home and knocking out the next painting.

Finished one of the Three new paintings tonight. It will have to dry and then I can post it. Having some mixed feelings. Well get up brush off and try again.

Been moving along on the one minutes at this point. Continue to do a page of 30 second gestures before moving on to one minutes, which can be 35 to 45 drawings. If I am out and about for lunch during the work time I go ahead and go right to 1 minute drawings.

My computer 30 second wacom draws I am now doing in red line for a change of pace. Might go back and draw over some of them in black later to define the parts I feel that stand out, aka inking.

Started doing Thumbnail drawings for the Wacom contest [link] . I figure 100 thumbnails is a good starting point. Also in the line up for Contests is the Illustrators of the Future no thumbs started yet but will be soon.

Project #5 is completed at last. This project was very challenging, self portraits always are. I will not be coloring the whole page. Will be coloring the second panel in the project though. Definitely have to try this project again. I found it extremely difficult to do a six panel story having myself be the character. I am a little frustrated to be honest do not want to rework this project though maybe a different topic will suite me better. It was wonderful practice and I learned a lot.

The top 3 images out of the Top Five have been selected from Project number four. I have already begun painting the first one. I felt the last set of gesture paintings lacking in the background department. So this time I am adding some tonal elements to break things up. I am really excited about this next painting.

I was contemplating not doing Project #3 but sat down and really have been enjoying it about 50 drawings into it right now. Also started on the self portrait six frames/ comic page project. It feels good to be making things again.
